Hi to all,

I'm looking for a tack shop near the area where I'm currently living. If you can just recommend me any place where I can find some pieces of clothes for winter riding, I'd appreciate it a lot.
I'm just totally brand-new to London and finding shops in Google doesn't help much since all the shops are very far away (I guess, I'm not doing it right :-\). Well, I don't mind to go far if you think it's worth to go.
I don't even mind to buy second-hand if you know where.
Please, just let me know any ideas where I can look for riding stuff.

Thank you all in advance!

I'd be extremely surprised if you can find one near CW to be honest! I've lived in london my whole life and only ever knew one shop in central London that had horsey things, and that closed down. I know Harrods sells riding stuff, and lilywhites might possibly but aside from them and Internet shopping, you may well have to venture out of the city

if you do find one in CW, let me know as I work there and would love to do some horsey shopping in my lunch breaks!!

Try getting on a train from liverpool street to Ingatestone and a taxi to the tack shop, its one of the best out there and will give you a fabulous selection - they even have a cafe, some of their stuff is online so you can get a taster www.ingatestonesaddlery.co.uk otherwise your options will be very limited (don't really rate decathlon and there used to be another tack shop in knightsbridge, kens area) otherwise there is one at uxgbridge, janette moss, college farm and more outside the m25, or ebay, Robinsons, equestrian clearance to name a few online?

I work in CW - no tack shops I am afraid (probably for the best considering my spending habits)...

If you drive there is obviously good old Ingatestone Saddlery also is Decathalon at Lakeside is good (and reasonable priced) and there a newish tack shop in Basildon.

Just a thought - it may be worth googling to see if there is one near to Wanstead/Epping/Woodford/Chigwell areas - there probably the "horsey" nearest places to east London and all on the Central Line. Although I used to live in Wanstead and know there wasn't one there then, but there maybe one nearby.

Good luck!

I wasn't really expecting much in CW :) and as I said I don't mind to go out of the city if it's worth it.
Thank you for sharing ideas.

Harrods have quite a lot of horsey stuff - Jeffries saddlery etc but it ain't cheap cos it's Harrods! I got my boy a lovely goat hair brush with Harrod's stamped on the back. Lillywhites on Oxford circus used to. Decathlon but it's crap quality. Frogpool Manor is where all my SE London horsey mates used to go.

There are a couple of Saddleries near the West end - Kensington/Hyde Park Saddlery and Riders & Squires. Bot on opposite sides of Hyde Park.
