Are there any here or nearby?! In Devon we have loads, I grew up here and am back supposed to be having some R&R and thought I'd pop to the old Bridlepath shop but it is no longer there. Are there any decent tack shops in the area?! I don't need anything just something to do lol!

Dawns Tack Box - Moreton Hall Industrial Estate, stock a lot of Shires and the cheaper makes etc. Very very good shop, and very friendly and helpful - Head for Matalan, turn right (opposite Matalan) take first left, and Dawns is at end of road straight ahead.

CWG - aricultural merchant, behind ABN/Sugar Beet factory - have a few rugs/headcollars etc, bit like Mole Valley Farmers (I believe MVF have actually just bought them out!) - Follow Compeigne Way from Tesco RB towards Great Barton, at 2nd RB take 2nd ext, then first left. You will see sign for CWG.

Bury Feeds - Behind Tollgate Tyres, again, mainly a feed shop but a few bits and bobs that are quite reasonably priced.

NEWMARKET

Gibsons Saddlery - one of my favourite shops, next to Tatts, lots of lovely leather work

Horse Reqs - behind the motorbike place near the town hall, lots of bits and pieces, well worth a look

SOHAM

Alans Ark - Very good, lots available, a little overpriced in places

STOWMARKET

Dawns Tack Box - another 'outlet' behind the railway station, not as big but often has more in

Stowe Vets - Have a brilliant 2nd hand section well worth a rummage

Mill Saddlery - again, a good shop with a lot of choice, and some of the more expensive makes/items.

I think the post above sums up every equine shop in the local area!! Rylands in Newmarket are fab for repairing saddlery and making pieces of tack up and SO reasonable. Bridlepath are still doing saddle fittings as far as I am aware

Oh, I forgot - Taylors in Sudbury - brilliant for the more expensive items, eg Stubben etc - fantastic shooting clothes/jackets, but very over priced.

Boyton Hall - Monks Eleigh, still have a tack shop I think, and was fairly reasonably priced with a nice selection.

Long Melford - lovely saddlery, like an Aladdins cave, be prepared to rummage!! A collection of rooms that seem to go on forever!! Lots of lovely stuff in there, but again, quite pricey.
