Hello,
I am a student at the Royal Veterinary College and am looking for a part loan in the potters bar area, or near Harpenden. I am a fully qualified instructor and trained at the National French ridding school in Saumur. I sadly lost my horse over the summer and am looking for a horse to ride as I simply can't afford to buy another one. I am looking for a 16hh+. Will take on any age young or experienced. I can also help someone with schooling their own. Would love to compete if possible. I have competed up to BSJA foxhunter on young horses, have been part of open pony club teams in Dressage and Show Jumping. I am also part of the Belgian Student rider team.
I would be really grateful if anybody could give me any info on the area, good places to look for classifields i.e local tack shops or if anyone knows of something up for loan, or maybe any dealers/studs needing some help, as I am completely new to Hertfordshire!
Thanks

Sorry to hear your lost your horse. I don't know of any specific horses for loan but try these for ads:

Tack shops:
Horseworld at GJW Titmus - New Mill, Lamer Lane, Wheathampstead, Herts, AL4 8RG
Tack Haven TC Feeds - dovehousefarm.com/home (just over the border in Beds but not far from Harpenden.)
Martin Wilkinson Saddler - martinwilkinson.com

Equestrian Centres:
Patchetts (also has tack shop) - http://www.patchetts.co.uk/
Oaklands College - oaklands.ac.uk/specialist-centres/equestrian-centre.aspx

There are loads of yards in and around Harpenden I would drive around them all with a little advert and ask if you can put it up. I reckon there must be a lot of people looking for someonw with your experience to part loan their horse! Good Luck with the search

Are you still looking?
I have a gorgeous 12yo 16hh mare avaiable for part loan (2 days p/w) in Edgeware, Middlesex. She works beautifully on the flat and would suit someone wanting to improve their dressage skills (no jumping unfortunately)- she's sensitive to hand/leg/seat aids so needs an experienced, quiet rider. Hacks alone/in company and yard has indoor and outdoor schools.
Looking for financial contribution £25/week (2 days) most of the year and cheaper in the summer when she's out 24/7.
You can email me at stevie.shoop@hotmail.co.uk if you want any more info/pics,
Thanks,
Stevie
