Tack storage solution

Can anyone recommend , either diy or branded , tack storage cupboard , i want to keep my tack where i keep my horse and i need a lockable cupboard type box that would take two saddles and two bridles , i've looked at an ifor tack pack and i really couldn't justify the price (£270 :eek::eek:)...any ideas , thanks. Dig.

There are a few different styles about. I got one that was all metal. I had to get a side made up of ply and bolt it in as mine only had 3 sides. But then pop riveted hooks and saddle racks in there and bobs your aunty... lockable, secure but can be moved if necessary. Perfect width for saddles. Much cheaper than the bespoke cabinets on the market. I contacted a key company (e.g. Garran lockers) and they sent me out new barrels and keys. But I was on a yard where I had to be paranoid about security. I fitted 3 locks to mine - top middle and bottom to ensure that the door could not be jemmied easily.

I looked at one of the bespoke lockers - this only had 1 lock and would have been easy to jemmy the door.

My cabinet has worked fantastically and I have moved it with me as I have moved.

Very much DIY, a friend of mine bought an old fridge freezer (stand up type) from the County Reclamation place and ripped the guts out of it.

He bolted it to the tackroom wall, installed saddle racks, hooks and locks, then, as he is a handy type he covered the front with wood. Very smart. It holds everything he needs, and is vermin proof to boot.

Whether it is thief proof we don't know, is anything?
 
We use the Robinsons ones in our stables. The locks are not the strongest - ours are the basic ones - I think that they do a posher one with double locks, but you could get a padlock attachment welded on too.

Thanks honey i'll have a quick look on their website , i'm not too worried about security as we are in the middle of nowhere and nobody knows we're there , well not many , a basic locking system would be fine.
