Tack theft Stowmarket in Suffolk

Just to warn people that somebody broke into my feed room last night and stole saddles and bridles. As if that wasn't bad enough they propped the door open so the horses got in there and ate loads of feed, including dry sugar beet, cubes etc.

Hello - I am new to the forum but live just outside Stowmarket. Could you please give me some more details: where are you? When did it happen? Was there someone at your yard?

Parsley - So sorry to hear that you have had your saddles and bridles stolen - really awful. It happened to me several years ago (as well as a brand new trailer!!) and I know how much it hurts!

The police told me that a yard in Rattlesdon had tack stolen Sat night as well

i live near stowmarket and am on Horsewatch might be an idea cos you do get alot of information etc on it

The horses are fine now thanks - the police told me today that there have been 9 thefts of tack around here recently. They are investigating more now.

ladies and gents we are still having tack thefts in the area please please please pass the message around , contact your local police and get on police direct and horsewatch as it will tell you whats going on!

Do we have any details of times and similarities? I dont leave my stuff on my yard but that wouldnt stop someone coming to take a look. I also live near Rattlesden.

I haven't heard much anymore from the police - before christmas the total had gone up to 11 in the area.
