We are a tiny yard of only 5 horses strong in a village where the postman isnt even in danger of any dogs its thhat safe! But still, we got robbed this morning. I am GUTTED. absolutely gutted. I have a big competition this weekend and I have no tack to ride with. Im just so grateful they didn't take the horses.
5 bridles and 3 saddles have gone missing. all was insured, but still I want my stuff back. I've had it for 4 years and its perfect for me. I don't care about the money, any ideas for where it could turn up? What auction site or whatever? Obviously eBay but any other major ones?
i will post a description, if you see or hear ANYTHING PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me through here.
I also wanted to warn everyone, I know this isnt the first theft in this area in a short period of time.

cambridgeshire. There have been a lot of tack thefts around our area but usually when the tack goes the horses go to so im just really glad they only took our tack.

So sorry about your tack, dirty nasty scum they just dont realise how hard it is to find good fitting tack.
What area are you in and also a description of the tack, any marks ect, and possible crime ref number.
Im off to a tack auction on saturday so can keep an eye out.
regards Teresa

yeah of course, the police were the first people we called.

here's a description.

2 brown leather Stüben Bridles.
One has a flash nose band and its browband has a metal (gold in colour) snaffle on it. It has a Waterford Dutch Gag on it. (horse size)
The second has only a cavesson and has a loose ring snaffle on it. (pony size)

3 other bridles
One is brown leather with a green felt browband and snaffle bit (cavesson) (pony size)
One is black leather with a snaffle bit and a big noseband. (horse size)
Brown leather, Dutch Gag, cavesson noseband.

2 Barnsby brown leather saddles plus girths, stirrups and leathers (and numners – one white number saying ‘dotti’ in purple and one green numner – if they haven’t separated them)
and one other black leather saddle (plus girth, numner, stirrups and leathers).

Unfortunately tack is always being stolen.

A lot of tack does in fact get recovered but it is difficult to re-unite it with the owners unless it can be identified. i.e. tack marked or micro-chipped.

This is why it is so important to ensure that tack is tack marked or micro-chipped.

Also contact horse watch so that they can send out details with their weekly news letter E-mail.
