I know it's the Daily Fail but it's my lunch break guilty pleasure on a rainy Monday. Quite disappointed by the outcome of this. Absolute scum the pair of them.
A prison sentence may have been OTT but would have hoped they would have had a hefty fine at the very least. Hope their unpaid work is a) actually done and b) is something extremely unpleasant.

Yuk to the Daily Fail, but I’m glad they got caught at least (although seems like it was mainly thanks to people tracking down stuff?).

I was just a happy hacker and when my saddle was stolen I was devastated, it took me quite a while to find a saddle to fit my horse and I was never as comfortable in the new saddle so it must be so much worse if you are competing although I can’t imagine I could have felt much worse as I’d had mine for over 10 years..

I had a saddle stolen that was my main saddle for my horse at the time and I never managed to find a similar one. Fortunately his competition tack was at home but it was a lovely saddle which suited us both well. The yard had about £20,000 worth of tack taken and the police were not interested at all. I spent ages watching adverts and we tried to find local CCTV as knew the time frame when the thieves had turned up and there was only one road they could have taken but didn't get anywhere ourselves. If you read the comments in the DM, it says that on one of their Facebook pages they have put that they can get back to normality now which is obviously fine for them.

They won't do hard graft on community service. It's a doddle I loved mine.
Added to that I came out of it knowing how to steal a car and had lots of contacts to buy drugs if I had wanted to.
Although people on here will be sympathetic to people loosing their much loved tack I doubt it will really register as a big crime outside the horse world and there are people who walked after doing a lot worse.
Hopefully the fact that they have lost the respect of fellow horsemen/horsewomen and horseothers will be the real punishment here.
The fact that anyone can go to any competition and exploit their surroundings to steal from fellow competitors in any sport is disgusting. They must be horrible people.

Just had a wee fb stalk and they have previous for Bumping people (dog stud fee is first that pops up).

Their pages are pretty open and Jamie has posted that it's been a long 15mths that he's glad are over/can get back to normality now. Friends commenting how happy they are for him and can look forward to going on holiday now 🙄🫤 only one person has called him out for stealing (from her I think).

So no, no remorse
