tack thieves Yorkshire area

please be aware tack thieves are at it again LS25 area 2 yards mine included were broken into yesterday mine in broad daylight saddles and bridles taken 2 dark vehicles seen hanging around night before black range rover and dark blue audi said they were lost when we challenged them please be vigilant

Also in the Huddersfield/Mirfield Area. Several saddles taken from small yard near ours and also from a livery yard about 3 miles away. Seems like they are only interested in saddles - the bridles and rugs were all left behind. The car seen was a black/dark BMW with the reg YH07.

Have you all rung the 08456060606 number for west yorks police just to report it? Dont want to sound patronising but we are setting up a WY Horsewatch scheme that is being launched in the new year!

I take it neither yard has CCTV? our tackroom is really hard to find, GOOD LUCK TO THEM I SAY!

i rent my yard and the owner wont have cctv as is too expensive i hope they find your tack room soon

G, theres loads of them around Huddersfield at the mo. I get them all sent through with work. Ours was done a couple of months ago but they didnt take much thankfully.

have found out today 2 men caught red-handed emptying tackroom in pollington had left car running outside man took keys and called police who caught them in the act wont hold my breath in the hope of getting any tack back though but it may slow the spate of tack thefts down
