£7000. I mostly pay around the 5k - 6k mark (I have 3 horses, and they're all good ones!). I've tried more expensive horses, but I can't ride them!
And Canteron - that is exactly what I did! The same budget, but I ended up spending £7000 on a 4 year old instead, who has turned out just wonderful.
I'm pretty sure I now know the type of horse that suits me best - quite a middleweight build with a big shoulder to sit behind, very forward going, and one which has been jumped by an amateur, preferably a girl, or just done riding club stuff and not fully realised its sj potential.
