Hi all,
I really want to try out diffrent plaits in my horses tail for diffrent shows so i would love to see your pictures!also i know what the diffrent colour ribbions mean and i would love to if i ever show my little loan pony to put a white ribbion in her tail to match herr numnah...but she is not actually for sale does this really matter?

Never heard of a white ribbon meaning the horse is for sale...usually that the horse is a stallion (white or white with a narrow blue and red line through). Green means just that, a green horse or pony, so the rider can not be sure how it will react to things, and red means the horse is a known kicker so don't get too close.

Ta dah!

I think ribbons are fine in fun turnout classes (prettiest mare for example) or if you want to say something like stallion, young horse, kicker or for sale.

But otherwise...steer clear :o

off point here, but reading through replies only just made connection between green horse and green ribbon....doh!
Of course, I had always automatically assumed red/danger/kicking seems like good plan....green and green...can't believe that just never connected up in head :P

I know nothing about tails, I just get other people to pull my pony's as me and manes and tails just dont seem to work together in a neat manner :/

Oh flippin' 'eck have the matchy-matchy society reached tail ribbons....??

Sod it, just paint your horse whatever colour you like.

If showing you wouldn't use a numnah anyway so no need for ribbons.

Afraid I don't have any photos of tail plaits as my plaited horse has her tail pulled!
