Random one but is it ok to have a plaited tail when competing at affiliated dressage?

I know its not the done thing but wondered if that was because it isn't allowed...

It is allowed. It isn't in fashion any more because they don't plait tails on the continent. Fashion is now to leave tail unpulled and unplaited, au natural! I'm on board, broadly because I am lazy, but I also don't think tail plaits are super comfy for horses (I know my head aches if I were to tightly french plait it all up!)

We plait Blues tail for dressage I have always plaited tails if it suits the horse .

Just adding I prefer a full tail but blues was clipped down 2/3 of the dock when I got him of course it’s still growing out so we plait it otherwise it would look terrible.
