Take a look at this and opinions please

I have always Jabbed my dogs with no problems.

BUT a friend of mine recently had her puppy jabbed for his first vaccs and they nearly lost him; it took £600 worth of tests to determine it was the jabs. This has most certainly re-consider.

I have always jabbed without any thought to concequences. With my pups coming up to their first yearly booster, I'm seriously looking into whether to risk it or not. I can find alot of articles against, but not many for. Are the anti's just more outspoken?

Mixed feeling's about this . We sold a pup to my Auntie years ago [ sheltie ] he developed epilepsie after he was jabbed and it was traced to the jabs , when we had alot of dogs we used Homeopathic nosode's from Ainsworths homeopathic vet , a fraction of the cost and included protection from kennel cough , seriously thinking of going back to using them , the only reason we stopped is we got into obedience and clubs required to see proof of vacs to join . I know alot of people prefer to vaccinate every 2 years ob downside to this is starting from scratch .

I only do puppy vaccinations and first booster... I'm not sure whether to do them 3 yearly, or just leave it at that... I have some time before I need to decide though. I definitely will not be vaccinating every year though... people need to weigh up the risks in their own mind, and mine is that the risk of vaccinating yearly is higher, than not.

I only do puppy vaccinations and first booster... .

As above but then I titre test and vacc only as required if immunity is weak. Unfortunately, this is an expensive way of doing it; also, some insurance companies will not accept titre results so you need to check that out. Also, likewise kennels if you use them.

I asked my vet about his policy on boosters. He told me he likes to give a yearly booster for Leptspirosis and a three yearly one for the other diseases after the first year. You may find that is what happens in your surgery. Even though the dogs get a yearly booster it may not be for everything.

If you have had a dog vaccinated with no ill effects it is unlikely that the same dog will have a problem with future vaccinations.
Vaccine reactions typically occur the at the first jab.

The risk of not vaccinating outweigh the risk from the vaccine IME.
The %age of reactions is miniscule. It does happen but I am allergic to Pepsi & Coke & how many people drink these with no problems?
