Takeing my horse back

I really do not wish to offend here, but taking on a youngster when one is heading/planning to go to uni is a bit rash, or even foolish.

OP, suggest you look at spelling and grammar in your posts, this may help when you submit work or papers later.

I would first of all take some grammar/spelling/typing lessons.
Then....ring the person and actually speak to them on the phone - have you done that?
Then determine what they want and what you want.
If you want her back then its your horse at the end of the day, go in and take her back if theyve breached the contract....but if not then give them 30 days and then go and get her.

This is totally a wind up...you got through uni with grammar like that!? :P

You obviously took a horse on that you shouldnt have and went with your heart instead of your head...
Nothing you can do about that now though so just go get her back if theyre breaching the contract and turn her away to mature with company for 6 months or so.

Can you all please note that it was the loaner who backed a 2yo, not the op.

As for the op's spelling and grammer, does it really matter, she is asking for advice on how to properly care for the horse on it's return, not an English lesson!!!

Can you all please get a grip and if you can't say anything useful, keep your snide comments to yourself and check your own spelling and grammer before jumping on a genuine poster for hers!!!!

If this is how some of you treat a human being, god help your animals!!!

Dyslexic here and ended up with a Ph.D. It is possible. Not probable though. Op may just be rushing, for some of us good grammer and spelling takes more effort than for others. Also may be text speak? "new"....not knew and phonetically similar enough in context? Did wonder when read that because it's worse than me!

I don't know....lets see some pics please!

Fair enough you have a point, it's just difficult trying to understand and decifer the message in order to help and give advice...anyway this is diverging from the point!

I think you have enough advice now...go do it! :)

Why do people have to be mean for means sake :(?
It's not big and it's not clever.

I am sure the OP is feeling bad enough as it is without having salt poured into the wounds.

And the OP didn't say s/he went to 'uni', but to college which could be to do a practical course that doesn't need korrect spellin an grammer.

I did nvq level 2 horse care which was work pleacemaent and with the writen work my spelling never came into. I am now training to became a BSJA judge still no spelling

sorry the horse does not have a broken pelvis the rider does

Ah, ok then!

These things happen, life can change in an instant, and we have to deal with what we get faced with...

As long as you are getting your girl back now, then all is well, and another year will see her mature and grow. :D

Also can't believe how nasty and unhelpful some people on this and other threads are... Why is it when people don't like what they see they immediately shout "troll" or "wind up"? If you don't think it's genuine, don't post but I've seen so many threads in the last few weeks where posters who are genuine are leapt on and attacked as a troll. Who cares if it's genuine? If it's not, it's 30 seconds out of your life wasted. If it is, then you've helped someone genuinely asking for help. I've never been on such a judgemental forum in 12 years of using them!!!

Here are the pictures that weldie sent through:

The last photo is when she first got her, hence her poor condition.

Pretty filly. :)

Weldie I really hope that you can get her back quickly. I'm sure that you will give her some time off to mature. Shame on the loaner for putting a two year old in full work.

Wind up or not, it doesn't matter. Comments like this really irritate me.

I take it then, that with a comment like that you know the OP, the horse in question and her situation intimately and in full, a lot can be left unsaid in a couple of lines. Are you the loaner? Or the loaners' loaner? Would you say that face to face?

:mad:God! There are some holier than thou bitches on here at times.

You, obviously, are absolutely perfect and have never, ever, made an error of judgement? Your comment is neither helpful, nor constructive.

OP, go get your horse back asap, hope that no harm has been done and let her grow on for a bit.

Hear hear....lets all try and be nice.;)

Some people were savaging a 13 year old girl asking for advice the other day. Made me so cross.

Looks like you did that filly a favour by buying her in the first place. Good on you Weldie!

Well said.
It seems that the troll hunters ,the holier than thou and the spelling police are out in force on this post. The reasons she put her horse on loan are no ones business, she has,it's gone wrong and she needs to get that horse outta there. She isn't the first to have a loan go wrong and she sure as hell won't be the last! Instead of screaming troll/joke/bitching about her spelling etc just give her the damn advice she needs!
OP , go get your horse as contract has been breached ,round up some burly blokes if you can to go with you and get her a field mate asap.

Agreed! There are too many nasty people on the forum, and to be honest, a lot of things I have read are pretty offensive, that my jaw was dropping at the things that have been said, not the OP's post. All she wanted was some advice, regardless of "SPAG"....OP go get your pony back and turn her away with a friend :)

I know how awful this must be!!! :(

My two year old was sent away by my not very horsey parents and the nest thing i know he's being backed etc...it absolutely broke my heart! I was absolutely fuming!!:mad::mad: then a couple of weeks down the line he ends up with a fractured pedal bone :( so he's been on box rest for the past couple of months HOWEVER he is coming home sooon :D I'm very excited! :D

OP I hope you get your filly back soon :)
I'm sure if she is turned away for a bit she will be fine

Best of Luck :)

I have to say I have been reading this and not posting a reply because I did slightly suspect it might be yet another boring troll post - but y I really think this is genuine in my humble opinion.:o

OP - the little filly looks vastly improved since you originally bought her - hopefully the loaner has not done any lasting damage by riding her so soon - and I feel sure if you let her off now for 6months/a year you will have a lovely little horse there when you do bring her back in to work. I hope you can manage to get her back off the loaner sooner rather than later and wish you many happy years with her.:)

Oh - and just to add - to the grammar police - I have a close family member who is a respected research scientist - his spelling and grammar are, frankly, deplorable! But there you go - Im sure you who criticize are supremely intelligent and superior to the rest of us mere mortals?

Geez some people on here make me sick, picking on a innocent person who was simply asking for advice. If you cant say anything nice, then dont say anything at all!!!! Knock it off!!!

Your filly is lovely. Go get her back ASAP.

blimey !!!!!!! following this thread has made me miss the end of coronation street !! talk about strong views !!

Good luck getting her back, hopefully no damage done and you can put it behind you and enjoy her yourself and then when its the right time get her re-backed x

ok op i thoroughly apologise :-) dont worry about spelling/grammar mine is just as meh (keep pecking at your college work tho good stuff!) re your filly, i havnt read thru all the pages BUT you have every right to go and get her. contract breach ect. do you have and ID for her? microchip, passport ect? i feel for you people can be @rseholes. i really do hope you go get her back asap even if you turn up with a trailer JUST GO GET HER. and please keep us updated on her. wish you all the very best.

I have her passport, micrchip is in my name and a bill of sale for her, I know the passport should have gone with her but i could never hand it over

Business...my point exactly (apart from the in full-work bit)...why loan a 2YO??? Jaw on floor here.

I loaned a yearling who went back as a 2 year old. I needed a companion short term who could live out with my old horse. I didnt want another elderly horse as I had two already at the time plus two other younger ones. So needed something that needed only basic stuff done and no riding. I think it worked out well. I would have kept her on but she was getting too fat on my grass. She went back as a two year old and was sold to a nice home. :)

So that is why people loan youngsters! Plus they may have another youngster who needs a companion.
