Seen some awful photos lately for sale adverts, take the two head shots above like chalk and cheese, why would you be in the slightest bit interested in a photo of a horse with its ears back clearly irritated by having a wet face?

And the photos of the horses standing, again good and bad for comparison with the saddled horse camped out underneath, neck stretched out, ears back, looks blooming awful. I'm sure they are lovely horses but the photos don't show them at their best.

I never understand why people don't spend a little longer trying to get a decent photo of their horse or making it stand square in the very least!

They would save themselves time and money in the long run as I'm sure they can't get many buyers interested when they put such pi** poor photos of their horses in adverts.

*whispers* the grey is very downhill ?

So yes tilt camera or stand them on a hill, but it won’t fool everyone ?

I have in the past held clinics to show people how to position their horses for sale photographs; it's not rocket science, but I am constantly amazed at what people put up on for sale ads. It's all very, very amateurish in this part of the world - have a look at the shots used in Germany, Holland, Spain, USA (pretty much anywhere, actually....)

My personal favourite was a coloured horse with a view from each side, but it wasn't, they just rotated the view so same side but inverted. May have not noticed if it wasn't a coloured! Another one that irritates is pots of money asked for a horse with a blurred photo. Personally, the more you ask for a horse, the more professional a photo should look. Although I had the opposite when I was last looking, the seller had put up 3 photos that were taken by professional, but were so filtered, that when I asked for more photos, the horse was so plain and unspectacular, you wouldn't have know they were same horse comparing photos

I hate when people only put pictures of the horse lying down, a head shot over a stable door and rugged up! Why!? And then theres those that refuse to send a video of horse actually moving ??‍♀️
