low tide is at 11.30, so thats perfect. me and my friends hve been trying to do this for 2 yrs, but it never seems to happen, which is ridiculous as the beach is 20 mins down the road!

any tips from people who hve done this? what if my pony wont cross the pebbles? what if he loves it and wades in saddle deep? its a wintec, will it be ok to get it wet??

You and your pony will love it! No tips apart from just go and enjoy (oh but get someone to take the camera). Don’t worry about your saddle, just give it a good clean afterwards.
Me and Bodey tried making it to France from Camber Sands, lol! :D

I took my boy to the beach for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We walked along the edge of some pebbles and then down onto the wet sand. The only problem was we had to cross some nice soft dry sand first.

First he tried sniffing the sand, then he stuffed his nose right into it, then he turned his lip inside out (Flehmen response) and finally he tried to roll...with me still on his back...and his nice hand made leather saddle on

I managed to get him up before he rolled right onto his back, and the rest of the ride was uneventful...thank goodness.

I think he enjoyed himself :D

Atleast your going at a better time of year than me. I've always wanted to take Lucy but always put it off till next summer. In nov after her diagnosis i realised there may not be a next summer so in Jan just after all that snow i took her. It was -3 and the sand was frozen in some places. But i didn't notice the cold till we got back to the trailer. I was having to much fun.
Lucy was scared of the sea and i didn't make her go in. We just had fun cantering and jumping the tidebreakers. LOL
Go and have fun i'm shore the ponies will love it to. Let us know how you get on and pics if poss Please :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
