does this actually work?
was thinking today, surely this would create more grime on your stable floor?

someone from my yard was useing it and said it the same as that limestone powder?

im not too sure!
limestone is a disinfectent powder which you sprinkle on your floor and gets rid of smelly wet stable smells.

but i thought talcon powder would just get all sticky and mushy.

Its a major lung irritant...personally I wouldnt do it. Its like chucking a bucket of smelly dust round the stable!

There is a product called Stablezone which you use on your stable floor or under your mats to disinfect and absorb urine. But to be honest it is pretty much the same a cat litter stuff.just more expensive.

uhm the one you put on after a bath

Honestly, talc is a known hazard. Ive just realised yours coughs too so tbh I would want her to know that it may not be helping!

mine is not stabled near hers!
and i have not been useing this on my floor, my floor is always damp though, unless left all day to dry, but then soaks the next day!

Not sure that what people commonly call talcum powder these days actually is that anymore. I think that has been banned from sale?

We used to put jayes powder on the stable floor used to just nutralize the amonia! I think they've started doing it again (advert on telly).

I use stuff from Equiform. Can't remember the name of it as I call it 'Stable Dust' and that name has kinda stuck in my head!!

Anyway it comes in 2 flavours, pine or neutral. I've got the neutral stuff.

It draws the Ammonia out of the urine, and works fantastically. Doesn't dry the floor as such, but certainly takes away the nasty niff.

My ponies don't come in all that much so a sack lasts me a couple of years!!
