Talk about Paranoid Dog Owner!

I'm a ridiculously paranoid owner - I'm constantly convinced I've found a tumour (which turns out to just be a muscle), a limp, a graze, worms, fleas - she has never had either of these, but I'm constantly checking just in case. Never had a tick though! (Hooray, another thing for me to inspect for!

That's understandable--I just didn't realise it had made its way across the Atlantic.

Yes, there's a Lyme vaccine. I don't give it to Stella (we titer test for everything, and this one is not so easily tolerated, apparently) but it's certainly offered alongside regular annuals.

ha at least u were calm and level headed.

Beaus first, I picked it off without realising (thought it was a scab!) then realised it was a tick SCREAMED and ran out of the room!! (then came back in and colelcted it squeeemish as ever!)

im gonna be a great vet!
