has anyone any before and after pics of fat or obese horses or ponies that they'd care to share?

And tell us how you got them to slim down? Any secrets??
 
Stinkbomb has a brilliant before and after of her Shetland. The difference is very impressive

I have a very slim pony but sadly, no befores. The showing fraternity might be able to dig up a few

I have a picture of before, we are still working on the after!

Jake is 792 kg! needs to loose at least 100 kg. He is large as he has been on restricted t/o and exercise due to a tendon injury and suspected arthritis.

The last time I got him slim with a lo-cal chaff and lami-lite and hay and exercise lots of gentle exercise (this was before his tendon). I also leave his rug off him as much as possible to turn that fat into heat.

I soaked Murphy's hay over the winter and would recommend that to anyone as a weight-loss tactic. He had loads of hay, but it was all soaked for 24 hours...he never went hungry, but he lost around 70kg between Nov and March, so we were both happy. I also found D&H equibites v useful as he got all his vits and mins with no extra calories
