So this might seem like an odd thread, but, I need to talk through the new puppy ideas and would value any input. As a family we have always had labradors, but not a puppy before. I now live on my own and am missing the canine company, so
I have chosen a labrador bitch and she is nearly three weeks old. I am really excited about her coming home. I have known the mum for a long time and the breeder is good etc so am sure she will have the best possible start.
She will be coming to work with me (I am a VN and she can go into the on call flat that we all share) I plan to keep her crated until she is fully house trained. I can be there to let her out every two hours or so, but I can't watch her all the time and it isn't fair on the others to come into potential mess.
I am also a bit worried about leaving her for those two hours, I am planning on getting plenty of toys and things, but will she be alright??
Also found puppy classes that we will be going to and have been reading alot (not sure whether that is a good thing!)
So really I am looking for a bit of reassurance that I will be alright with her
Thanks in advance

Sounds good to me!

My pup is in a crate during the day while I am at work but I pop in every two or three hours and usually she is fast asleep! I do leave a couple of toys in with her but don't think she has ever played with them while shut in. (There are other dogs in the room with her)They seem to get into a routine pretty quickly.

Will she be ok at work with you before she has her jabs?
