Tall boots for tall ladies - ariats? brogini? mark todd?

The riding boot saga goes on!!
I am after a nice pair of long riding boots i can use for everyday riding and showing/dressage. They won't be used for the yard, i have wellies for this! neither will they be used in the mud - i think this is how my zips keep braking when they get muddy :( Whilst there is no riding for me yet till a couple of weeks i have been sorting through my stuff. My joddy boots with zips are now retired as the zip has gone again.
So i have had
Shires - short and long
Saxon
Dublin - 2 pairs, the country style brown and leather type
Regent
and all the zips have failed miserably :( and zip repairs are expensive
I did order a pair of zipless but they where very narrow so they went back!

Thing is am a bit of a sucker for brown boots, especially the lighter brown, think they looks so smart but then again i am wanting them to compete and show in (although i have a native and a cob! so means i wear green tweed) so i maybe able to justify a brown pair of everyday boots and maybe a cheapy black second pair for competing in only? (ones i could hide from my OH lol)

So, the time has come to have a serious think about spending extra on a decent pair that i can get some years worth of riding out of them!
Another thing, i have long legs, 36" (am just shy of 5ft10) so wanted a boot that doesn't stop half way up my leg!! so any recommendations for longer boots to fit longer legs??

I love konigs but they are waaaaay over budget!! - anyone know of a similar style?

Mark todd - believe these come up quite long?

I love the mark todds & they do come up long which I was really happy about!!

Until I realised that the normal calf width was 15" there is no way on earth I can make my calf 15" even with thermal base layer, breeches & long socks I can only do 13.5"
So if you have thinner calves mark todd will probs be no good :(
 
I've got brogini and ariats and they are both great. Ride regularly in my broginis and often forget to take them off when on the yard and so far they have stood up to it just fine!

My calf is around 15" so may just fit!

ooooo brogini ones are made to measure and well in budget - £150 :D

mark todd competition field boots are lovely but the shape really didn't suit my muscular calves and I couldn't get them done up (they are also a little too short really anyway, 46cm where I really need at least a 49cm) . I have ariat bromonts which I'm happy with, they are lovely looking boots, very comfortable and wear very well. I have 2 pairs of insulated and 2 pairs of non-insulated now! However they are still too short for me, so for competing I have a pair of Mountain horse supreme high riders, which are beautiful, but I find uncomfortable to walk in (fine to ride in) and a much better length :).
 
Sergio Grasso's are beautiful, have been really pleased with mine.

Lots and lots of different options for length and calf size.

I am 5'11" so had the same problem for years - I could have cried with happiness when I found these boots!
 
My daughter is 6' tall. She has both Ariat and Brogini. I am not overly impressed with the Broginis compared with the Ariats.
She is heavy on her footwear, and the Broginis last nowhere near as well or as long as the Ariats for her.
 
I have had my Ariat Bromonts for four years now. Still looking in great shape. I'm 5ft 9in, longer in leg than body. They fit just right under my knee. Expensive, but good. Very comfortable, too, from first wear.
 
I'm just over 5"10 and got someone else's custom made broginis off eBay for £40 and they fit beautifully lengthwise! I had to put a strip of elastic down the zip to stop them being too tight but I find them really comfy, and I have quite skinny calves so have always struggled with getting the right size.
 
Sarn Hippique were the only off the shelf in 51cm length that i could find were tall enough
stupidly long calfs though.
annoying that most boots define tall at 46cm crazy, 46cm looks like a joke on my legs
