Tall spangle pics

So basically very tall pics may not show it but he is the tallest I have ever seen, he is standing the height of OH thigh, we have 3 cockers in and he towers them, he is kenneled with a shepherd bitch and she is the same size he is very dark red in top coat, dont know if pics will show that, and his feathers where to the floor before I hacked them off the other week as he was matted to hell.
He looks like a very tall cocker to me, but people said welsh, which I googled as I had a feeling they where not a solid colour as in my last post.

I'd say he is a freak Show Cocker, doesn't look like a Field or a Working Cocker, certainly isn't a Welsh or even English Springer.

Probably is a mutt Maybe a Welsh Springer bitch got frisky with a Cocker before she got firsky with another Welsh Springer and they sold the pups as Welsh Springers to unsuspecting eejits

Otto is about the same height as that, you can just about see in this pic. But then he is supposed to be that tall and could go another couple of inches before being out of breed standard. Cockers on the other hand shouldn't, so if he is a Cocker, like I said, he's a freak show

OH points out that he has a friend with a supersize cocker who's probably about that big....otherwise could he have setter in him?

Just measured Henry and he is about 18 inches at the shoulder Although of course he too is a rescue and may be partly something else, although I think he looks completely like a Cocker spaniel

Could he be crossed with something else? My springer x lab is very springer like, except he is the height of a lab & when you start to look closely you can see the lab in his head & his tail is definitely lab under all the feather (thick & goes in circles!) Everyone comments on what a bit springer he is!
I know someone who has a springer x cocker that looks quite similar to your boy, except he is roan rather than golden.

As someone who has both he looks a bit like a cocker (working) crossed with a golden retriever???

Definitely too big for a cocker though - he's cute whatever he is!!
