He was a star

Didn't put a foot wrong, not dancing, rearing, nothing

Particularly pleased as we don't exactly know what went on before- Just came to us as rising 5, unbroken and knowing previous times he has done stuff it wasn't a success.
I know I am big- I'm not planning on taking him round badminton, just getting him walking and trotting and out to a little dressage or two ready for driving trials. He harrowed the school yesterday too

He has settled down alot now

He is so much more chilled now

Before if you touched his bum, or put the stirrups on you were scared he was going over backwards he was freaking so much.

He's only about 14.2 - you'd love him!!!

Yes little Rupert is still going through his scared stage. He tells me everytime he sees a saddle that he has never ever ever seen one before - but isn't worried at all when he is trotting around - and he has never flapped about the stirrups being down when he is lunging!! Wierdo that he is!

He had a right strop the other day though because we were doing poles on the lunge and there were now 4 poles instead of 3!!!!

You would have thought I had asked him to backflips the way he was carrying on!!! Drama queen!! haha!!

Rupert is only 3 now though - so we are just doing slowly slowly, as and when he is ready. I have also found, rather disconcertingly, that he is better to do leaning over with him when he doesn't have anyone at his head!!

Odd things horses aren't they!!

Some 14.2's are big

Tally is/was like that. First time with a saddle- Didn't bat an eyelid. Second time it was very scarey. Its only been 3 days when he hasn't been scared of stirrups first time they have been put on, but before after his initial OMG he would settle and be very sweet. He has always been good with Poles and the girth though. Jessica rider was understandably scarey, but he always forgets he has ever had a bit in

Luckily I'm tall enough to put my arm over his head to stop any problems.
