Well this is an update from Tam and I as havent posted in ages due to lots of exams! We have been out eventing twice in the last few weeks, and as you can see from the title Tammy is now in Intermediate points!
First up Ill summarise Brand Hall CIC1* which was great fun and a really good experience. We basically did a pants dressage test and I was gutted to get 61.9 and was near the bottom! Normally she is so good in the dressage and her average has been about 33 this year so was hoping for mid 50s or below, but the test was rubbish so the mark was fair enough.
Then SJ was tight time so I went for it and had the smallest fence on the course down and still had 2 time faults, which was annoying!
The XC had lots of fiddly combinations and felt like a real test so I was looking forward to it! Course pics are on Sarah-Janes website : )
Tam was great, flew round, the first combo was at 3 and she nearly wobbled at it as it was big and early on, but jumped it lovely with a reminder from my legs! Next tricky combination was ditch to 2 angled rails at 7 she flew through with no trouble which was nice as was really worried about that one. Next real issue was 10 and 11ab the skinny hedge to sunken road, but again she flew through. Then there was the corner at 13 which was a bit of an odd one, and she chipped in but went clear, and then clear through the skinny barrel combo at 14. Jumped the big table at 15 and came down to the water which had a skinny brush with a huge spread on it to a boat. She was fab! Jumped the last few bits to come home clear with only 4.4 time which was great as there were lots of problems in my section. So that made up for the rest being a bit pants.

Then onto Nunney which was on Saturday, where I had an ONu18(Q) I am aiming for Weston J* as part of the team so needed to have a good result. Came 2nd at Aldon so the trainers know me now and I needed to have another good result to pretty much secure a place(so long as she doesnt go lame or anything!)
Got there and walked the course and was impressed with the going it was perfect! The course seemed fairly testing so hopefully it wouldnt a dressage competition.
Then I did my dressage which I still felt was not our best, with us breaking into canter in a medium trot and getting tense at times because of the wind! However we did have nice movements like the other medium trot and our walk. Went to check scores between dressage and SJ and found I was joint 4th on 31.5! So I was really pleased.
Then got on and watched a bit of SJ with Tam there were quite a few problems, but I think in our u18 section there were a lot of people going Novice for the first time. Warmed up and she was great, except for when a silly woman walked in front of the fence as we were jumping and I had to pull Tam up suddenly about 3 strides away. Why are people so dozy that they dont check to see if you are jumping?!
Went in and she went clear like the good old Tam so we were in a good position going into XC.

Then went down to XC there werent many down there so jumped a couple then went to start. She was speedy out of the box, jumped the first combination and 5 and sped on, jumped the first tricky bit at 7 which was log down a steep hill to angled log, and then flew through 8 a step up to flower box. Then cruised through the next few fences, and at the next fiddly bit at 12 and 13 a house, down a dip, up a hill and round a corner to a corner she was fab. The next combo was the water at 15 and she was careful but bold to jump the arrowhead spread thing to duck in the water. Cantered on to the last awkward bit which was down a mega steep hill to an angled house at 17 at the bottom, and up a hill to a skinny at 18. Then galloped home over the last few for a clear with 4.8 time. So I finished on 36.3!

If Id gone faster I couldve won but there are so many if onlys you have to go with what you actually achieved! Went to look at scores and the worst I could be was 4th, and the best 3rd.
In the end I came 3rd so we got 4 more points bringing our total up to 22! And we won £75 and another KBIS T-shirt. It was just the result we needed and Tam was a star yet again.

We entered Salperton Novice Waitlist in case Nunney was cancelled but I have now got in, however have to go HC so we are deciding whether to W/D or not. After that Im doing PC Open Areas, and then we are deciding whether to go to the OIu21 at Wilton or not.
Thanks for reading this essay! Haha, I have a whole biscuit tin of chocolate digestives to offer you!
