I would have a guess and say that there will be different riders on those horses by the time of Hambledon. Hasn't Ruth Edge taken over on Welton Double Cracker?
Yeah i thought so too. Just interested to see that she was withdrawn from everything else but not our local. And I could have swarn when i last looked she was only riding one horse at Hambledon when entries closed....
I guess i was just hoping that she was going to ride Del.
thought he would be strongly advised to go there to get olympic qualification. Will be interestng to know why!!
Yer ruth now has the ride on WDC and someone else has taken over Opposition heracles!
Until yesterday or the day before blue horizon hadnt been withdrawn from S of E so maybe they just havn't done it yet??? Not sure though!
bit of a shame to see withdrawals when so many brits got balloted this year esp as badminton don't run a wait list. bit tough on those who couldn't get in.
I know there was some discussion a while ago about Pippa Funnell being pregnant, and I've porbably missed some more recent info - but is that why there will prob be different riders on her horses by then?
someone on the forum will be relieved the secret is out but i believe tam has had a bit of heat in a leg and better safe than sorry. As for the others, no idea whats up with burley wood but Ballyleck Boy not quite right and cinda knows horse so well, knows when its worth persisting to get fit in time and rumour has it that lawrence hunt broke something in fall at belton so that could be reason for pheobus.
pippa withdrew Ensign as not fair to try and take horse to 4* when she has had to take sometime out her self but leaving other entries for moment to see how things go and hannah well able to keep horses fit and ready for lower level.
Just being reading the Pyecombe BSJA results from the weekend and observed that Will seems to have 'pinched' Billy Landretti back from Pip....and qualified him for the Scope Festival
He's quite a little talent that one....and of some interest to me as he is Trike's double lol!
On the subject of Badminton I thought WFP dig at Tom Cruise owners was a good one about him being on his 9th rider. Wonder if OT will run this one as hard as he normally runs them.

Was up at Sam's yard the other day and saw Hero there, he is gorgeous and very chilled! I think he had the ride on him a few years ago-these Opposition horses seem to swap around a bit.
It will be interesting to see how people choose to ride at Badminton this year-go for the placings or play it safe to get qualifications to prevent last minute panic!
Realistically should Tam be aimed for 2008 Olympics - are there not more reliable, consistent horses out there, including within Mr F-Ps stable? How old is he now anyway? He strikes me as a spoilt child most of the time...
Such a shame Tamarillo will miss Badminton as he does seem to go very very well there.
Tam is 15 now, so 16 next year. Looking at his record he's doesn't seem to have been over-run so would have thought he would be OK. Wasn't Over to You 16 when he went to Athens? I guess that when Tam is on form in all three phases he's fab, but agree he is damm cheeky and seems to be more cheeky as he gets older!!
IMHO Idalgo strikes me as a far better prospect for 2008 as he looks fab at Burghley with a superb double clear and the dressage looks to be getting better (sure I read somewhere that WFP thought him to be a future team/Olympic horse) but guess we will have to see how he gets on this year. Mind saying that depending on how Tam's leg is later in the year, we could see Idalgo or Balincoola at the European's this year anyway, as doubt we will see a team without WFP unless he gets injured!!
