Hi there. After last years disaster I'm not taking any chances with the purchase of my new horse. I've found a lovely horse in the Tamworth area and I was hoping someone might be able to help me with some recommendations of vets for pre purchase vetting. Thanks in advance!

If it's a big money horse I would use Three Counties Equine Vets and ask for Chris Rea. They are in Gloucester but will travel all over UK and Europe.

If it's Peanut the Pony I am sure someone local in Tamworth will recommend a vet for you
 
Try Pool House, very close to Tamworth and happily used by lots of horsey folk in the area. Chine House are further away (in Leicestershire) but we used them for a vetting two years ago with no problems.

I live in tamworth and would not use pool house. I use John brook , excelkent vets and equine specialists. A lot of people also rate 608
 
I use 608 and recommend them but your callout will be massive given the distance. Used Gil Riley at Pool House for a vetting last year and was very happy.
 
Another one for Chine House. They are fantastic equine vets! They travelled to Northants to do the pre purchase vetting for me when I bought mine and charged me £50 for the travelling time. I think they charge so much per mile but not 100% sure on that.
