Ok I've tried combing out the lugs at the base/bottom of Jack's mane, he's starting to look like he wants to grow dreadlocks,

I'm wondering if I should clip it down or should I leave it and try and not break my metal mane comb

I'm trying to comb it to get all the tangled hay out of it and make him look abit more respectfull and tidy

put baby oil on the mane it makes it so much easier to detangle, it works on my Arab whos mane is down to his shoulders and who lives out..

Baby oil/detangler etc as above but don't forget to start at the ends and work back to the roots, otherwise you just push the tangle further down and an even bigger knot is formed. Get the end inch tangle free and silky smooth, then the next inch etc until finally you do the roots.
