taping shoes

I read some time age about taping shoes on, but i can't remember if it was for traveling or for competing in.

My horse is going through a stage of pulling front shoes off, so i was wondering if i could tape them on for competitions or would this not be a good idea.

lol i wouldnt advise gaffa taping shoes on for competition, insteaad speak to your farriar about building the foot up with resin or glue.

I hace gaffa taped ted's on in the past to hack out, but only if there a little loose.

I dont know how to link to a previous post!!- sorry am rubbish at computery things. My friend has been taping her shoes on, or rather taping in place of overreach boots since her horse tripped over his boot on landing and they both landed on their heads. It you look at Matafleurs recent posts there is one with different opinions on this subject.
