As some of you may know my scum bag of an ex and I split up because he asked me to choose between him and my horse................

I was thinking of getting a small tattoo on the inside of my wrist, I was thinking for something horse related as I know I've made the right choice and someone who really loves you wouldn't do something like that. It's been a hard year or so with one thing and another so I want something that is going to symbolise that too. A fresh start!

I remember someone asked about horsey tattoos a while back and had some replies with links, so if anyone can suggest any that'd be great.

I think somthing like a horse shoe would be good - symbolises luck ( you seem to of had some good luck as you got rid of horrid OH) its neat and done well will look stunning. Not overly origional i grant you but i think good- there are lots of v good artists to choose from just decide on budget and how far you are willing to travel!!
I frequent this forum lots and people do know their stuff

Oooh...great idea....how about 2 small interlinked horsehoes? That would symbolise good luck, you and your horse and hopefully you and your next horsey boyfriend who also has his own land and fabulous horse-box......(can you tell I have drifted off to fantasy land on your behalf there......

Trouble is my horse is called Pilib which is in effect the gaelic version of Philip!!! which means the lover of horses.

Love the horse shoe idea! Thanks guys.

I had a tattoo when Kelts died... figured the pain it caused was far outweighed by the years she selflessly gave of herself... I found the design i have on google... I just put in the words I wanted - in my case keltic horse... some really good websites out there! Just one thing - have it somewhere it won't sag out of shape when you're pass 95 ;-)

Horseshoes are great - and it doesn't matter which way up they go!

There are different stories about horseshoes, some saying that the opened end upwards keeps good luck in, and others that say that an 'upside down' horseshoe allows the good luck to flow out on you

Either that, or a simple galloping/rearing horse - as horses symbolize freedom

Now I want to go and doodle my own tattoo designs... xD

Please do consider future jobs/partners/horses/whatever before you get something anywhere so obvious!

OH has something that meant a lot to him on the back of his leg so doesn't wear shorts most places anymore. Would be terrible if you couldn't wear short sleaves.

Or what about a 5-year tattoo to start with?

Happy designing...

i have my horses freezemark number V1NN (his name is Vinnie) and a little horseshoe on underside of wrist it didnt hurt badly. good on you for getting rid of your ex what an idiot thinking you might have chosen him over your horsey.

good luck x

There's a really nice picasso line drawing of a horse that would look gorgeous (I really want it but my parents would literally MURDER me!)

I had a shamrock on my wrist when Niamh was pts to remember her (she was Irish) that was 5 years ago and I wont ever regret it .
Whenever I ride now I can see it and it makes me smile.
