I have the vet coming tomorrow anyway but my 9 year old tb isn't quite himself at the moment and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light.
He is stabled overnight and out in 10 acres during the day, exercised 5 times a week and in the past couple of years has been in good health. His legs have started to fill overnight and make him look quite stiff and awkward in the mornings but they do clear through the day. I have put wraps on him in the stable for the past couple of nights to try and help but his legs are still filling and he is left with quilt imprints on his legs so Ihave since left them off.
He is also drinking alot more than normal - he has a big trug of water overnight and would normally drinking 2-3 inches out of it put again over the past week or so has been pretty much clearing the trug and as a result been very wet in his stable.
He also is normally quite a bright eyed sparky interested horse and there is just something missing at the moment and he has been seen today lying down in the field quite alot which is quite unusual for him. He is fully clipped out at the moment so I can't tell what his coat is like but it still seems in good nick.
Sound like virus or something else ??
Thank you in advance
