Just thought I'd update any interested people in my poor TBs feet - after infected nail hole, thrush, thin soles and lameness, lost plastic shoes etc, etc, and etc.

Vet came and gave us bute, prescribed box rest and advised xrays when he was comfortable. A week later and he was doing well on bute and then all of a sudden for no reason he was in awful pain today and could hardly move. Vet came and put pads on feet and gave him a big shot of painkillers. Xrays being done tomorrow but I am quite worried. Hes only 5, has a lovely temperament and could be really good when he starts work. I will update tomorrow if anyone is interested.

HI Marial, Moose is ok. Pads back on feet. Xrays show very flat feet, absolutely no diaganal of bottom of pedal bone and very little sole (unlike Moose, soul - get it?). Also toe is still too long but we cant cut it back too further and pedal bone starting to grow little ski jumps to compensate at toe. Gel pads to be fitted Monday and if he comes sound then he can start work. Corrective shoeing and trimming, along with carbon fibre strips is all we can do really. Might see you later although you come up sooo late. Your turn for coffee!
