Just wondering if you guys have any suggestions for a nice short coupled Thoroughbred stallion for our 13.2hh Welsh d x mare. Shes quite long in the back and we'd like something to add height and refine her for a larger sports pony type.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :D

I have someone actually in the same boat as yourself (13.2 long backed welsh mare) seriously considering my boy for her. My boy is licensed with Weatherbys, not got any on the ground until summer though (dam is a 13hh welsh x) so definatley unproven at the moment. Excellent temperament, most dont realise he's entire until i tell them.
There are a few more recent pics of him on his facebook page but i am waiting for him to finish moulting before we get the real 'posing' photos! I'll have to email you his stud card (minus the posing pics!)

We own the dam of luckilotti boy hes a very sweet young man we saw him when we visited him at the stud who bred him he very nicely bred our mare has won over £30,000 and is the sweetest mare you could ever have on a yard, her first two children have raced and her last boy is due to race this year.
I would jump at the chance of using him as his temperment is lovely, and he is very correct just like his mum she is an outstanding broodmare.

Another vote here for Groomsbridge May I, probably the best small TB you will find in this country IMO. I have had a couple of foals by him now and thrilled with them, if you visit Groomsbridge you will be impressed by his offspring!

I went to May I with my rather long backed mare and got a lovely short coupled foal. He is the easiest foal ever born, too.

Thanks Angrove, his temperment really is amazing and everyone who meets him falls for his charm and pretty boy looks!

Depending on the weather he may be having his 'posing photos' done this weekend, its been glorious weather here today so fingers crossed its the same tomorrow so the handom one can have a bath!
