Hi, I am in Australia and have been looking for a TB stallion to put to my Clydie cross TB mare. Currently she does 1*(Novice) eventing and is going 2**(Intemediate) in 2010.
I am not planning on breeding until Novembe 2010.
I am looking to breed an eventer.
I have found that Australia actually has very few TB stallion that suit my mare (as in only 1 that I like) and so I've decided to look oveseas to see if I can find one.
I am looking for a stallion that has great engagement from behind and swing in their movement. Also a stallion that can gallop well is a must.
I can post pics of her if you wish.
Obviously being in Australia I need a stallion that does frozen.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated

Thanks heaps guys, thats given me some more reading material! Is Classis a straight TB? 9" of bone seems an awful lot for a TB, but I'm much more used to the Australian and NZ TB's. The Irish TB are quite solid aren't they?

He certainly is .
Thankfully there are still some decent thoroughbred horses available.

You can also look at Primitive Proposal or Kings Composer for a full TB.

King is Springs sire, but we have King Of Diamonds on the dams side so a nice mix.

I would recommend our own TB X ID but to get the export papers for his frozen would mean him going in to quarantine for 4 weeks to get the defra approval for export. This will be the bigest problem that you will have! you may find the right horse but will he have the approval for export.

Have a look at Revolution (TB), he will be standing at Twemlows for 2010. I have two youngsters by him out of my 3/4 ID 1/4 TB mare and he has added fantastic quality, but also has a superb temperament. I am going to use him again in 2010.
