TB Weight

Yeah, that should be about right - maybe a bit more weight would be good in theory (550-maybe600kg depending on bone). however the most important thing is to go by how he/shs looking rather than weight. Is it an adult horse? NH bred?

You need to condition score as well as weightape. I have known a 16.2hh skinny TB to be about 510kg on a weightape, lose loads of condition (that he didnt have to lose) and still be the same on the weightape.

Weightapes are very good to monitor weight but if the horse is skinny they dont always detect a difference because they only measure one place. The horse can lose weight behind shoulder blades, on topline, ribs, etc and the tape cant detect it. They are more accurate for rounder types! Tbs withers can make a horse measure heavier than it really is.
