Haven't rehomed one from them yet. They have some very nice horses and are very honest about them. There are alot of very positive reviews from people who have previously rehomed. If the horse doesn't suit they will advertise it for you.

Just jumping on this and seeing if anyone has rehomed/brought through them?

Have enquired about a horse and all seemed great until received a huge amount of paperwork basically stating that the rehoming free is a ‘non-refundable deposit’ and that although you legally own the horse and must change passport ownership that they are able to come and collect the horse, without notice, if at any point their very long (some reasonable, some excessive) list of requirements is not met. There’s also something about how they must have access to the property (again with and without notice) at any time, which seems a bit much especially if you have the horse on livery and are not the owner of the property. Finally, you can’t ‘rehome’ (sell) the horse, it must be done through them (no mention on whether you get your money back or value of horse at time of sale).

The trainer did try to clarify some of this but seemed to contradict a lot of the documentation…

TBH it doesn’t seem worth the hassle, whilst I understand them wanting to keep contact with the horse and traceability would be much better off stating this is a loan with an initial adoption fee (not a small fee by any means).

Would be interested to see if anyone has rehomed from them and whether they carried on with the updates on vet visits, etc.

Also does anyone know how the agency is run? Is it a charity? Who does the rehoming fee go to? Feeling a bit grumpy as, naively, didn’t realise this was more of a loan scheme with fee upfront.

I didn't get as far as you because I felt like I was being pushed towards one particular horse that I had doubts about. When I expressed those doubts I was dismissed/ridiculed and my general questions went unanswered. So I gave up.

As above.

They only disclosed sarcoids and a heart murmur at quite a late stage.

I was about to sign the agreement and pay.

Hi
Jumping on thread has anyone had any recent experiences with them. I did go to look at one, but unfortunately he was very young and had a weak hind. Another one has come up but is in Ireland so looks to be a buy unseen.

We have, found them very honest and helpful, and they were keen to check us out to make sure we were the right sort of home before any commitments were made either way. They've never visited or checked up but we do send regular updates of what we're doing and how things are going so they know what's going on. We'd go back to them.
