What (if anything) are you rugging your TB's in now the weather is a bit warmer.

I'd love to let mine go naked but he's an ex racer and still on the light side so have a debate with myself each morning as to what to put on him!

2 tbs living out are naked and looking really well, both oap ex racers. The other is out naked during the day and in a fleece at night.

My 11 y-o TB is naked (he was last clipped in November) and so is my mum's TB. They are loving being able to roll & get their coats out as they are getting itchy now. It's warm enough down here. I know they are all different, but ours are happy as anything.

My ex racer had a no fill turn out on at nights for a few weeks but even that came off Saturday so now he is totally unrugged and very happy.

Mine is out naked in the day and has a no fill turn out at night, tbh I think he would be fine without a rug 24/7 now!!

Fleece at night as it drops down a lot, during the day naked where possibly, had a l/w no fill today as rain was predicted. Will be out naked tomorrow. He's still on the light side but i'd rather he didn't sweat under a heavy rug.

Naked out 24/7 *runs away and hides*
He is looking quite well on the spring grass and the last time I went out at night to put his LW on he ran away so I took that as a sign he didn't want a rug on.

mine is out naked in the day and is in a medium high neck at night as were getting slight frost at night but schorching down here in the day for the last week, (south west) and my boy isnt by anymeans a hard nut! he is rugged to the eyeballs in the winter!

Mine has a trace clip in the throws of growing out, she has been turned out 24/7 for a couple of weeks now. She is naked during the day as long as it isnt raining then she has a lightweight turnout on if it is wet, she has had said rug on through the night every night until last night when the temperature dropped she had a mediumwieight turnout on. She is a TB ex-racer and is a big sofftie!! It wont be long until she is head to toe in a fly rug cos those pesky horse flies bring her out in lumps!!!

My mare is out naked during the day - if its overcast or colder i put her medium weight on her, at night it drops to 0 - 1 degrees so she has her fleece and a MW stable rug on - she feels the cold!

My Tb was only kicked out at night a few days ago due to stable issues & is still a bit on the light side coming out of winter. Several people cyber slapped me for worrying unnecessarily & they were very right! He is happy as larry!
During day he is either naked or in no fill turnout (if rainy or windy - our field does get damn cold when windy!). At night he has been out in heavyweight rambo, but the last few nights have been chilly. Has been a frost each morning I have been down. He was nice & snug but not too hot. He is very good at telling me if I have got the rug situation wrong - he will either remove it nicely in one piece or systematically destroy it!

My girl is out naked during the day unless it's raining, then she has a rainsheet on. She's still in at night and just has a fleece on, but she does get warm really quickly, never really feels the cold. The 3 yr old is only 3/4 TB and is out 24/7. Most days she's out naked and has either a l/w (no fill) on it's own, or with a fleece underneath at night :)

Mine is out naked and in at night without rug. He gets too hot in any rug as being a few days short of 4 he plays about in the field. I find they keep themselves warm once they are used to going naked. Also, there is a little grass now which seems to help.

Naked in the day, while it's sunny and 17 degrees or above. Stabled at night with a middleweight.

My ex racer is more sensitive to flies than the other horses, so I've already started on the fly spray. He'll have to wear his fly rug soon, but he's able to enjoy some nakedness now until those pesky flies come out in force.
