mare does not seem interested in foal very much, when my friends mares foal they are like sticky tape to the foals.

I also looked for a phone number but can't find one.. they are being really stupid about this - the foal is starting to think they are mum and the mare is becoming dis-interested!

I think if they don't back off and leave them alone then theres going to be problems with mum and foal bonding

These folks REALLY need to leave this mare and foal alone!!! Rubbing it with a towel!!!??? FGS!!! Let the mare sort the foal out! Why would you want to rub it with a towel and remove the amniotic fluid for the mare to sniff?? Do they want the mare to reject the foal and have to bottle feed it??

wasnt sure if they might have been a new stud & this was their first foal on the ground that they had been present at. I dread to think that they do this with all their foals!
Poor mare is showing minimal interest thanks to them!

Sounds like they are an established stud, going by their website, but I could be wrong.

I 'had' said "please leave them alone to bond together and stop mucking out stable and interfering at this time...."

Well I missed the birth by 5mintues, gutted, but I have been hooked ever since.

They seem to be doing nicely now the foal i suckling.
You must be over the moon, a coloured filly, perfect.
