Just checking how difficult it is, whom in the Staffordshire, West Midlands does lessons....

may be taking on a 11.3 pony... if i have nothing for him to do.... i am thinking about learning to drive..

What do i need to think of- do most pony's take to it - how difficult is it for them to learn etc

There's DVD's you can get that can get an overview from and plenty of books.
It's easy enough to do all the ground work your self but personally I would get an experianced person to start him off frights driving can be difficult get them to forget and unless your experianced I would do all the long riening voice training then send him away to be put to and driven away.
Then you can get some lessons get from the experianced person and get them to help you with carriage choice etc etc etc and there's the possibility of lots of etc with driving.
It's great great fun and a super job for an out grown pony .

Without opposable thumbs, gear shifts are tricky, so you're probably limited to an automatic, with some adaptations for driving positions and steering, but then you'll be away :D

I know my pony has been driven before but not sure how well she will re take to it again as has a nasty scar from an ill fitting collar on her shoulder. Does anyone recommend any good books?

Will GW be able to get him a credit card on her account for using at the garage and the pumps may present a problem hooves not being ideal for such tasks being able to drive himself home from shows will be great.
