You have got it all wrong.

These people are teaching a horse to drive. He is at the observing stage. He is already sitting round the roads locally and is familiar with the car. Do you think he should do this for a while longer or just go for it driving?

He's got four tyres with him! I only ever used one at a time. I knew I was getting it wrong 😐

OP, you may have the best of intentions and feel you have experience but the very fact you have asked the question, means that you don’t have the knowledge or experience to do this alone. You have once chance to get this right, find the very best professional to help you and set your equine and yourself up for success, not failure. Even if you feel you have done it before, you don’t remember, which means you're Setting up for disaster. The videos are a frightening example of what can go wrong.

I don’t wish to sound rude but many of your posts do come across as you lacking experience.

I think he can just be sent straight out driving on the roads all on his own, looks competent enough to me 🤣

There are a LOT of posts on this thread, struggling to read them all 🙈, by the way to anybody who seeing how I have the time to do all this, I'm a stay at home mum at the moment, and obviously 2/3 kids go to school so... Only got one to keep track of in the day!

He needs to take his theory test before he goes it alone.

Why is it a struggle to read them all? It’s not war and peace 😂

As others have said please seek a professional for help. I found It quite useful to have 2 helpers whilst I long reined him dragging a tyre they pulled the cart close behind to get him used to the sounds of it on grass, through puddles, on gravel And just generally following him around. You could have the most bombproof pony in the world but it can still go wrong, and if it does it’s not something they are going to forget.
