Hi All,
Just thought i'd share some recent success and ask for suggestions to help canter improve
Pickle is 22 this year :O he can be stubborn, but has a heart of gold, 4 year olds can ride him despite him being 17.1hh and he looks after my dad (who is a beginner)
We've always struggled with schooling. I've been frustrated at times, as on grass he is a different horse. However this week we seem to have had a break through! He's finally moving forward into the hand, and actually powering from behind. Canter is still very much on the forehand but has a better rhythm than previously (suggestions welcome here)
So whatever people say, old dogs can learn new tricks
Pickle today proving the old boys still got it
(please excuse dodgy heel and low hands, he has a habit of trying to balance on my hands which I'm working on hence stretchy exercises)
warming up stretchy
Canter is where we still need some work
Thanks for looking
