And one of Peanuts & Jazz waiting to go in, Peanuts is quite obsessed with the camera (she LOVES being photographed) and was feeling very left out that the camera has been lying around for days yet it never seemed to be there for her ;)

uber, uber cute, and I hope my puppy and cats are eventually as tolerant of each other as the two in your bottom pic clearly are!
Whereabouts in the world are you? Your front door step reminds me so much of the back of my dad's place in Austria (random I know!!)

Me, me, me, please, give ME one.....:D:D:D

Well perhaps the 3 I have already are enough, but they are sooooo sweet FB, I love them :):):)

Very cute, I NEED to keep Daphne! I've never had a litter before (and never will again, way too stressful), when the owner of the dog has 'pick of litter', can they really choose absolutely any or can they normally be persuaded away from the one doggie you really really really want to keep?

I'm sure if you speak nicely (or make her look really scruffy somehow, pour some Lucozade over her or something :p) to the owner, you can come to some arrangement.
If they are adamant, you could go into partnership or breeder's terms (that doesn't work for everyone - you want her to mate THAT???? :p)

How solid is the agreement? It's not set in stone (not here, anyway) that the dog owner has pick of the litter unless it was part of the stud fee you paid/arrangement you made?

Ah, that's good news. It's not so *solid* I don't think. When we first approached him he said he wanted to see Florimell, and gave us a quote and expected us to pay the stud fee in cash. Then, when we did meet, he really, really liked Florimell and her bloodlines and told us he was more than happy to have a puppy instead (on his own initiative!), though he never said whether he wanted to keep the puppy or not (I assumed he'd keep it, otherwise he'd have wanted stud fee in cash, but then again, this is one of the oldest and definitely most renowned IG breeders in the country, and I know for certain they have really long waiting lists for their own puppies)

Well if he hasn't taken any money at all, then he probably will expect full ownership of one of the puppies. But like I say, I am sure you can talk nicely to him if he also decides that Daphne is the one!
