A group of us went to see the Team Chasing today. Its was wonderful, the weather was fab and the venue was beautiful with the most thrilling jumps and gallops! We stayed almost till the end but had to leave to put our horses to bed. As we are all 'ladies of a certain age' (no excuse - I know!) we are all pig sick that we are not brave and fearless and could do it - it must be such an adrenelin rush - has anyone here done it? How does it feel? How long do you stay on a 'high' for? The open class was breathtaking!

I have done one! I was meant to be doing another 4 this autumn but box dies on us! so Bring on the Spring season!

Its the most amasing thrill! Best disapline in the world!

It does look very cool! Was that the essex one you went to? I dont suppose you know how the Waveney Harriers got on?

I have done a fun class when our local hunt used to run one. My scariest moment ever was jumping the practice jump - 2 Heston straw bales! As for the team chase my horse is naturally fast and it was very exhilarating! Mind you the next event the horse did with a different rider.....(I'm not the bravest person in the world!)

Rosie was in three different teams. Not too good with the optimum time one and the Open (although they had a ball) but I gather their hunt, East Essex, won the Novice Fastest Time and she just loved it - almost as good as point to pointing she said - lol

I have intermediate team chased absolutely love it. Unfortunately I have a bold but slow horse which is not the most helpful thing but I get round!!
Novice team chases are tiny only about 2'6 and they are usually run on bogey time so its fast but not crazy. Well worth giving it a go.
