A suggestion from French equestrian forum for anyone who would like to send words of sympathy to the Fredericks re the loss of Nullarbor:

From French sources in Saumur: Clayton said the horse was feeling unusually heavy on the bit after clearing fence and just before taking that turn... There is strong suspicion of a heart attack or aneurysmal rupture. The French Saumur vet staff will perform the autopsy of N. The results of the pm should be released soon.
Hopefully this will clarify things for all those involved if not make up for the loss of a great horse.
RIP poor boy
