Ok, so who bought one?

I'm not knocking the idea, its a great way to to support team GB and help the British riders, vaulters and carriage drivers get to the World Equestrian Games but......

I wonder exactly how much it cost to produce each bracelet, considering they were made in India and then sell them for £40.00 each, with 20% from every sale being donated to Equestrian Team GB, that would £8.00 from each one sold, it does make me wonder if more could of been donated or if they were a little cheeper, more would be sold?

I looked at them at Badders and didn't buy one.
I would of paid £20 but not £40

Well I have not actuallly seen them so I cant comment on the quality or if there worth £40.00 etc, I think my point is really that I wonder how much they really cost to produce and sell them over here, I just have vissions of them being made by young children in those sweat shop type conditions, probably only costing less than what's being donated to Team GB thats all but then I'm no expert in the price of sterling silver or red carnelion, white pearl and blue lapis lazuli stones.

I agree if were a little cheaper, I think more of them would of left the shelves, specially consindering most of shoppers at Badminton are of the younger generation...well you know what mean (hopefully without offending anyone) and would of been more in their budget perhaps.

They're nice enough, but have to confess to being a little disappointed with my Kauto Star bracelet of the same design and produced by the same people. The advertising photo made the stones look much bigger than is the reality and I expected them to be a bit more luminous than is the case.

Nice enough but nothing special!
