Team GBR flags on jackets

A weird one to have noticed, but why are Team GBR's Union Jacks on the right of their tail coats? They are usually on the left under the Olympic rings....looks all wrong!! (Although unlikely to affect their dressage performances!!)

Change of design, notice the tail piping too? They didn't have rings on them in London I don't think.

Noticed the piping - but traditionally all flags/national emblems are flown on the left breast aren't they? Same as medals - nearest to the heart?
