Team ODE at Eland

Entered the 80 at Eland last minute as a team was down a member. I love Eland. Always so friendly there. I was down for fence judging withh my kids too so I went first for dressage and SJ and 2nd for XC so was then able to judge from 10am. Quite nice to watch it all knowing I was all done.

Another frustrating day for me though. Average dressage (remembered the test woop woop), then 4 faults SJ and clear XC..... or so I thought! My whoops of joy as I belted through the finish did not last long as my kids (who were FJing and therefore could hear the radio from all round the course) said I had been eliminated for going down the metre steps by mistake. Arghhhh. Oh well. ONE DAY......

Did not buy any pics this time. I am learning to restrain myself (erm apart from buying the video of my round....)

How annoying for the course error and elimination! I bet you won't make the same mistake again, great to be all finished up by 10am and relax though.

I still find it hard to believe I went down the metre steps! They are HUUUGE. Surely I'd have noticed? Even if only mid-flight! I am looking forward to seeing the video. Kelsall next and surely SURELY I won't mess it up.....

Haha. Yes very true. She had a great time! Thank goodness she never realises how often I mess up despite her best efforts.
