Teamchase fatality - RIP Jo

How very sad. My thoughts are with all who loved her.

Sickened by some of the mindless idiotic comments below the article. Some people have no heart.

Utter tragedy and my heart goes out to her family.

I wonder why her husband has released this photograph. It's a lovely picture of her and her horse thoroughly enjoying themselves, but was bound to attract all the wrong, negative and ignorant comments that appear below.

Some of the comments are unbelievably unkind and cruel. RIP Jo

r.i.p jo how terrribly sad makes you sit back and think.

Best wishes to her family and young children who will now grow up without their mum.

To the authors of the ridiculous comments below the article:

-you are mindless
-totally ignorant
-thoughtless

and I would like to meet you!! If you want to argue the point regarding horses and jumping DO NOT do it in such a place use a forum like this is you feel its absolutely necessaary to share your pathetic opinion with others. I am guessing that you live in london are probably anti hunting support lacs and have no idea what goes on in the country. well do me a favour dont ever enter the country we dont want you!

Best wishes to the family xx

I think it's a beautiful photograph, showing a happy woman and happy horse doing what they loved together. I can't say what the husband hoped to achieve etc but feel its a very fitting photo x

I agree a lovely photograph if a little poignant.

RIP Jo

My thoughts are with the family, God knows how they must be feeling.

RIP Jo
Condolences family

I wonder if she was a HHO member?

Condolences also to her friends and the horse who must also be saddened and confused.

I was thinking the same thing! Typical of the mail, it's just a rag.

Lovely photo and my thoughts are with the family, such a tragic accident. xxx

Point2 and the best hats can't help with rotational falls and the absence of luck. Jo was a cracking rider and a great team player, we will all miss her in teamchasing. Silly comments and ignorant people get everywhere. The 'big jump' she's pictured over is actually fairly small, with the ground about 2' lower than take off. Makes for a great rider frightener and good pictures though. DM always reports badly, most of the TC world tried to avoid them during the last few days. A very sad accident. So many other falls end with both horse and rider walking away, it's hard to accept when things go so badly.
And to mention Paul's horse losing his life in the previous team was just pointless and totally irrelevent. His leg broke, between fences and not having made a mistake. It can happen anywhere at anytime. The ground was damn near perfect, first team round so not poached at all. Bad luck. My thoughts, and those of all the teamchasing community, goes to her family.

RIP Jo, what a lovely photo - but heartbreaking at the same time.

Agree, what has the value of her home to do with anything at all.

I think the photo of Jo is amazing as it shows what a fine horse woman she was - in perfect balance with her horse, her horse doing a huge leap and real confidence between the two and a lovely sunny day. I saw the fence yesterday as i keep my horse at the yard and hats off to her jumping it!!! I know i wouldn't...! Sadly we all know the risks to team chasing and any type of discipline connected to horses but if we didn't do things we adore, then we would never get off the sofa - much like the ignorant people who posted on the DM website below the article.....
