Nawwww, it's so sad to see. I hate it when we wean all the lambs and ewes let alone one of my pony's and her foal
But so far so good, fingers crossed.
Took them all their feeds at 9.30 with a lot of extra Hi-Fi. Put Teazle's bridle on and lead her away. There was no reaction from Teazle, Rainbow called but then carried on eating. Put Teazle next to 2 of my other horses and she just ate her food (typical NF
). Half an hour later there was a lot of calling and some galloping about. But they've settled down now, so hope they are ok
I thought it would be best to take Teazle out now as Rainbow is 6 months old on Tuesday, and my sister wants to bring her back into work, and then leave Rainbow with Phoenix and Bramble. Then in a month's time Bramble will come out and go in with Teazle.
Oh it's a horrible part of breeding, isn't it?! But it has to be done.
