So my first Goshka Ringo baby is finally here!
I had a very eventful weekend and I am now extremely tired, I only got back last night hence why I've only just come one here!
After shopping all day at the Royal Show on Sunday i headed back to Wellesbourne with my friend to fetch her stallions to take to the Royal. At 4.30pm my mum phoned me when i was in the horsebox to tell me that Teazle was running milk which was dripping down her legs. Of course we all knew she was going to have it that night
typical, after 3 weeks of camping in a tent! So i couldn't get home right that second as i was in the horsebox with 2 stallions, 1 a dreadful traveller. So got to the showground and unloaded the stallions and put them into their stables. I didn't take my phone
Got back to the horsebox to find 20 missed calls on both my and friends phones.
Mum phoned and Teazle had foaled! She went to feed her chickens at 5.45pm and heard Teazle making a noise, she went to see her and the legs were out
10 minutes later foalie was born
The birth was compeletely text book and Teazle is a FANTASTIC mum
My mum picked me up and i went home for 3 hours to meet the new arrival and to make sure she suckled, pooed and Terazle passed the placenta. All of which happened perfectly. I then went back to the Royal that night to camp with my friend and help. Even better the next morning her stallions came 2nd and 4th in their class!!!
Oh my mum put the iodine on the foal and spilt it down her legs
so the poor thing now has a yellow inner hind leg!
Teazle is so good with the foal and shes brilliant at letting anyone go and give her a fuss. She is the most laidback pony i know though!
So please meet Teazle's foal, a gorgeous black tobiano filly by Goshka Ringo, Bromson Colour Addiction , born 5.55pm on 1st July 2007.
Shes so cute, pretty and tiny!
