I have this one but haven't actually used it for many years - I do fine it quite bulky but can also never manage to get the videos to download onto the app - am I doing something wrong? Those that have this camera do you get on well with it? I'm going to start using it again as have had a few incidents with drivers in the last few weeks.

I do, it's does stick out a bit but I like that as I've definitely had drivers notice it as they fly up behind me and slow down as a result. I put it on even when the battery is dead for that deterrent.

I just download to my photos on my phone and I can upload to the police website from there easily. I don't download to the app at all.

I don't go out without my DC-1, I don't notice it on my helmet. I'm not great with technology but I download the videos to my phone through the viidure app and find it easy. Then I send them to my mac to look at properly and send to police. There was an earlier app (roadcam??) which was a pain but I like the Viidure one.

Ooh how do I download to my phone? That would be easier!

So Roadcam is the one I have from years ago but its not great!

which app are you using? there's two different apps that can be used. I use Viidure and never have a problem downloading files! been using it on ever ride for the last 18 months

I open the app by swapping to the camera on wifi in settings on my phone, then just open the roadcam app, select the videos I want and press download - and they appear in my phone photos.

I've never done anything else so not sure how you're supposed to use it - but its working for me

On your phone you can then edit the bit you want to make police upload easier

This is what I've tried to do but the videos just don't appear anywhere at all! I've done loads today as tests and nothing showing!

Weird - no clue sorry - could they come up in date order - so further back in your photos?

Do you get the tick across the video in the app to say that it's been downloaded?

Sometimes they take some time to download? a good 5 mins for a longer one?

I've downloaded the Viidure app - it's working on there now! Thanks all! I will now try to remember to keep it on my hat! Any good ideas for storage?! Do you all leave yours on your hat all the time in a hat bag or something?

I have a DC-2 and use the Viidure app to download either or my phone or my iPad (bigger screen). I understand that you find it a bit bulky, but once it's on and working I hardly know that it's there. I have to ride on a short stretch of road before I get to my nearest bridle path and find that drivers do respect it.

I use mine all the time, I use the Viidure App on my phone to watch and download. I used to have a smaller front facing camera but have noticed that drivers are more reactive to this as it’s so visible

I have one of the techalogic cameras which I mainly use riding my motorbikes. For hacking I've tried using it with the hat harness on my riding hat but it bounces in canter! Any tips please!

Does anyone find these really heavy on the side if your head? Mine pulls my hat down and gives me a head ache! Do I have it fixed wrong?!
Yup, stopped using it and got a second hand Cambox camera. Didn't like the way it pulled on the side of my head, plus I was thought if I came off that it would get absolutely mullered or possibly cause injury to myself. I'd be totally down for one with a more slim profile, that sits closer/snugger to the helmet than the current helmet mount, with it stuck out on the arm like that. Or maybe one that mounts directly to the top of the helmet perhaps? I reckon I could come up with something quick and dirty with liberal use of wide elastic and velcro, done so in the past for other helmet cameras, but just ended up preferring the cambox.

I honestly don't notice it. I only wear it if we go out but the occasional times we go in the school I don't notice it's absence and it never pulls my hat down.

Does anyone know how best to position also without half the image being the corner of my riding hat? No matter how far I seem to pull it out the side my hat is always in the shot!

Also does anyone have photos of it fitted correctly on a hat? My partner has moved mine but still doesn't look ride but so hard to tell on all the images and no clear videos anywhere!

This is from a google search - but it's how I wear mine. Clear video and not heavy / wonky or pulling on my hat
This is the DC1 or 2? My DC 1 has like a sticky up handle bit on the side too which people seem to have on top or below - doesn't seem consistent but that picture looks very neat!

the ebay image I photo'd claims to be a DC-1, mine has the little sticky out bit - but still lies flush against my hat in that same way.
Do you have a photo on yours front on and side ways on your hat so I see what bits of the camera fit where? My partner is adamant it needs to go one way and I think it needs to go another! At the moment my sticky out bit is facing down but I don't think that's right!

I'll grab one tomorrow when it's light - it looks just like these tho.

the button to turn it on is on the front facing bit, with the angled bit facing slightly down
Thank you - I think I have it correct now, Iwas just confused by some have the sticky out bit sticking up and some photos don't show it at all so I couldn't' make any sense of it! Unless there are multiple ways to mount it?
