Took HG's Teddy to Hartpury to do the two Novices, as we are trying to get him out as many times as we can before the regionals so he might not be so spooky! (he hasnt seen much of the world yet..BLESS HIM)
Anyway... we entered the N22 in the training section, so he could get a chance to look around at everything without worrying about competing.
His trot work was lovely, as was his walk. His canter is coming on really well, but was spoiled today by a big ruccas that was going on outside the arena.
The judge liked him, and he finished with 65 point something% He would have won the open section if we had entered it, but Im quite glad we didnt as we didnt quite get the Q score
Second test was in the big new main arena and was N38.
He did a LOVELY test and tried really hard with the counter canter and it was the first time I can honestly say we got a real FWLR. The whole test could have been more forward, but he was a lil tired (and feeling underpowered as he has been on a diet!).
We where over the moon to see his score was 67.4%
He was quite early in the test (10.33) so we waited to see the rest..it finally finished sometime after 1pm and he won the Open section!!
